FRIDAY March 17, 2006- Abdullah al-Kidd, 33, was born in Kansas and has spent most of his life in the USA. In 1993 he accepted the Muslim religion as his own and has studied the teaching of arabic and various religions besides Islam. In 2003 he was arrested and detained for 16 days in connection to suspected terrorist activities. He is now suing the government about the extended investigation. He lost his family; wife and two children, a scholarship to study in Saudi Arabia, and work. He dreams of writing several books to help people understand Islam and to refute many misconceptions and help people understand the truth of the religion as opposed to the fears of extremicism.
